On the ground floor there is a 7m x 4m kitchen behind which is a 5m x 5m utility room.
The kitchen is well-equipped with a 2 metre Smeg cooker which has two electric ovens and a hob with six gas ring burners and an electric, non-stick, flat griddle. Air extraction is by a powerful Smeg extractor unit.
There are three fridges. In the kitchen there is a large Smeg fridge/freezer and a small Smeg under counter cook’s fridge built into the solid oak work surface and cupboard unit. An older white fridge for bulk storage of drink and other provisions is in the utility room.
There are all the usual kitchen implements and a plentiful supply of crockery, cutlery and glassware. The quantities of equipment coped (just) when I cooked for 28 people at my 50th birthday celebration!
At the other end of the kitchen from the limestone sink pictured is a 1.5m x 0.75m kitchen table which can seat six people.
